After hearing the news Jack didn't know exactly how to feel. His house at home was prison enough as it was, he wasn't sure how he was going to like Hogwarts for longer than he had to. Jack drew his legs up against his chest, he couldn't cry because he wasn't unhappy about not seeing his family for long periods of time. It's not like he went home for the holidays anyway. But he was upset that everyone around him would have to endure a hard time away from their families. Even if he wasn't sad about not missing his.

Jack looked over to where Sabine and Colin were helping out two second year students. It seemed like they were taking it reasonably well for the circumstances. He knew that they both loved their families unconditionally. "I hope they're ok." Jack said to himself about no one in particular. Jack got up off the spot on the floor that he had been sitting but he wasn't really sure what to do with himself, most of the younger years had already began their ways up to the dorms.

A few did linger behind Jack had made his way over to one of the third year girls who was still sobbing on the floor and rubbed her back hoping to help ease the tears rolling down her face. The little girl actually turned against him and continued to cry, it startled Jack at first but not really knowing what to do Jack put his arms around her in a comforting hug, even though the angle was kind of awkward. Though his eyes didn't stay on the girl in front of him, they continued to wander the common room for a friendly face.

Sorry to say I got this journal a bit far back but just never had the time to make my own addition to its entry pool. I've had work on my plate for so many days thats its just been up the wall. Really. Being the caretaker at Hyde Park wasn't my first round pick job but it puts money into my pocket and if it does than so be it. I'm up for any distractions from my work so your welcome to try and find me. Pry me away from my work. I seriously don't mind at all.

Well these past few days have been quite eventful. With everyones personal thoughts getting out into the open I can't really expect anything less than that. But Jack Sloper has devised a way to keep his own thoughts private. Just not to share them until the glitches are over! Aren't I brilliant? Well then again I really don't care if my personal thoughts get out. Some how someone always does find out in the end and it gets spread around into some fanatical story later. Funny how life works out sometimes.

I have a general question for everyone. What is the craziest thing anyones ever wanted to do at Hogwarts but never could? Because i've always wanted to do something completely outrageous but there are so many things that I could do. I'm not going to share them with anyone because I don't want to ruin the surprises I have planned already but if anyone would like to see anything in particular just tell me. I'm most likely going to rack up as many detentions as I can without getting expelled. I wonder how many it would take? Guess thats one question I really don't want the answer to.
